Water intrusion is most common in early Spring. The ground is generally most saturated, and even still frozen at times. That, accompanied by heavy rain showers, is a recipe for disaster. The excess water will take the path of least resistance, which in many cases is into our homes. Homes take a beating sheltering us and our loved ones from the elements during harsh winters, which makes water intrusion more prevalent. Gutters tend to clog, sag, and overflow causing them to be ineffective. Improper drainage is the #1 cause of water intrusion.
