The recent uptick in the local housing market has been a sight for sore eyes among many homeowners. The average American’s primary investment is the mortgage on their home. A recovering home market provides more incentive to finally get around to the home improvements you’ve been putting off.
“A lack of major winter storms in the Baltimore area in January helped boost the region’s home sale market with an 18.4 percent increase in closed sales over the snowy January 2014.
A report released Tuesday by RealEstate Business Intelligence said the jump in closed sales made for the best January since 2007, with 1,786 homes sold in the region. Both single-family detached homes and townhomes saw double-digit increases in closed sales.”
